Its called Project Wild Thing and is a real eye opener!
Here's the synopsis, from the web site:
"Filmmaker David Bond is a worried man. His kids' waking hours are dominated by a cacophony of marketing, and a screen dependence threatening to turn them into glassy-eyed zombies. Like city kids everywhere, they spend way too much time indoors - not like it was back in his day. He decides it's time to get back to nature – literally."
“THIS FILM WILL CHANGE YOUR LIFE”
Patrick Barkham, The Guardian
I'm posting it and sharing it as I think it illustrates where, as a society, we have lost our way somewhat. Although a balance has to be struck - I'm using a screen now (but hopefully not zombie-fashion) to tell you about it!
And its a clever idea to try and market Nature as a brand, in the same way as all the products and services, we have thrust at us daily. So, here's my thrust...
Bring your kids to Guardian Croft (when its ready) and all enjoy nature again, but with your smart phone or tablet to hand - we won't confiscate them, unless you use them TOO much!
Also, a few people have asked me why are we making such a radical change to our lives and (to some perceptions) throwing away all we have 'worked' for.
This film will hopefully go some way to explaining how we are feeling; but I plan to do a nice big juicy post, explaining all the reasons, in detail, soon.
Hey, another cliff hanger for you, my (newly) loyal readers...
